Privacy, cookies and disclosure
Last updated: Sep 9, 2026
The short version
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising trackers and no fingerprinting. It loads nothing from a third-party server unless you ask it to, which in practice means pressing play on a video.
We only ever hold personal data you hand us deliberately, which is your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, and whatever you write if you email us.
Who is responsible
myduo.tech is published by [Legal entity name], [Registered address], Luxembourg. Under the General Data Protection Regulation we are the controller for the personal data described here.
For anything on this page, including a request to exercise your rights, write to privacy@myduo.tech.
What is stored in your browser
The site uses your browser's local storage for two small preferences, both created by something you did and both readable only by your own browser. We never see them and they never leave your device.
You can clear them at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.
- Whether you dismissed the banner offering the site in another language, so it does not reappear on every page.
- Whether you dismissed this privacy notice.
Server logs
Our host records the standard technical information any web server records when it answers a request: the IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. This is necessary to serve the site and to detect abuse, and it is the only processing here that rests on our legitimate interest rather than on something you chose.
These logs are not used to profile anyone, are not combined with any other data, and are not shared with advertisers.
Embedded video
The Video section shows Apple's own films for the iPhone Duo. Until you press play, the page holds only a still image that we serve from our own server, so nothing is requested from YouTube and no data reaches Google.
Pressing play loads a YouTube player in privacy-enhanced mode. From that point Google receives your IP address and may set cookies, under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Your click is the consent for that transfer, and it is the only reason we build the player this way.
Fonts and other assets
Every font, image and script on this site is served from our own domain. There is no font CDN, no tag manager, no chat widget and no social embed, so no third party learns that you visited.
Your rights
Where we hold personal data about you, the GDPR gives you the right to ask for a copy of it, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting what was lawful before.
Write to privacy@myduo.tech and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to your national data protection authority. Ours is the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), Luxembourg.
How long we keep things
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded. Emails you send us are kept as long as needed to deal with what you wrote about.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links to carriers, retailers, insurers and trade-in services earn us a commission if you buy through them. Those links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute so they are machine-readable as such, and the price you pay is never higher for having used one.
Commission never buys a placement or a ranking. Deals are ordered by real out-of-pocket cost, and a product that is worse gets said so.
Editorial policy
myduo.tech is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by Apple Inc.
Specifications are taken from Apple's own published material and the source is named. Where a figure is not yet confirmed we say so rather than guessing. Prices are checked when published and change quickly, so treat them as a starting point, not a quote.
Copyright and trademarks
Apple, iPhone, iPhone Duo, Touch ID, Face ID, MagSafe, Ceramic Shield, ProMotion and Super Retina XDR are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the United States and other countries. All other product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners, and their use here is for identification only and does not imply endorsement.
The editorial text, page design, illustrations and data compilations on this site are © 2026 myduo.tech, all rights reserved. The technical drawing of the device is our own work, made from published dimensions. You may quote us with attribution and a link; you may not republish a page wholesale.
Video thumbnails and the linked films remain the property of Apple Inc. and are shown for the purpose of reporting on the product.
Changes to this page
If we ever add anything that processes your data differently, this page changes first and the date at the top changes with it.
